Jim's Shipping Containers

Getting A Container Delivered

One question that we get asked a lot here is "How will my container get delivered"? The answer is usually relatively straight forward - depending on the location, your container will probably be delivered using a tilt tray, or a side loader. If your location is a little more difficult to access, we may use a crane to put the container into place. Watch this video to see how our delivery drivers unload a container on a side loader.

What is the process?

The video above shows the process of a sideloader unloading a container at our depot. The video is at about 5x speed, and this process normally takes around 3 minutes. The driver will extend supports from the truck itself to make sure it doesn't tip over, then the container is lowered slowly onto the ground about half a meter away from the truck. It's that simple! Let us know if you need your container delivered with a side loader.
